In recent years, the volume of data has been exploding, remarkably, 90% of the World’s data was created in the last 2 years.¹ As much as we try, humans alone can’t keep up, especially when considering the biases and limitations of human decision-making, as documented by Nobel Laureates Kahneman and Thaler.² As a result, most active asset managers are struggling to keep up with passive benchmarks, for example 85% of large cap funds underperformed the S&P 500 over a 10-year horizon.³
At the same time, breakthroughs in machine learning have enabled AI algorithms to surpass the world’s best human experts in chess, Go, poker, video games, medical diagnosis, etc.⁴

Biography
Dr. Tal Schwartz,
Founder and CEO
Dr. Schwartz is the Founder & CEO of Actualize Capital where he is combining his passion for finance and experience as machine learning innovator to launch Actualized Capital LLC that aims to generate positive risk adjusted returns in all market conditions.
Finance Expert
Dr. Schwartz received his Ph.D. in Finance from Cornell University and worked as a quantitative researcher at some of the most well-known hedge funds in the world including Citadel Investment Group, Mesirow Financial and Clarion Capital. At these and other financial institutions, Dr. Schwartz developed and implemented trading strategies and innovative portfolio optimization technologies.
Entrepreneur
Over the past two decades, Dr. Schwartz founded and led several organizations including Clicktale, Expand Beyond, and the Technion’s Entrepreneurship Center. As the CEO and co-founder of Clicktale, Dr. Schwartz pioneered the field of Experience Analytics, invented products that combined machine learning and psychological research to enable the “Experience Era” for businesses worldwide. He grew Clicktale to millions in revenues, hundreds of employees and raised over $100m from investors.
Academic
Dr. Schwartz was a Professor, Visiting Scientist and lecturer at leading universities including Caltech, the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, DePaul University and Tel-Aviv University. He presented his research at industry conferences and published in leading finance journals.
Dr. Schwartz received his bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (1992) and earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in Finance from Cornell University (1997).
